Housing is Healthcare
Saving Lives in Atlanta One Home at a Time
At Status: Home, our mission is to provide homeless and low-income individuals and families (including children) impacted by HIV/AIDS in Greater Atlanta with a continuum of housing, healthcare resources, and supportive services that are critical to our residents’ survival and contribute to their overall self-sufficiency.
Home is a bright light when all is dark
Via staff and community partners, Status: Home provides wrap-around services to hundreds of adults and children in our housing tiered housing model, including case management, linkage to HIV care, employment services, mental health services, and legal services.
Our clients are referred to us via the City of Atlanta’s coordinated entry.
Residential Housing
- Facilities-Based Program (Program for Adults): Our most intensive support tier, providing residents diagnosed with AIDS the highest level of comprehensive care and case management.
- Multi-Family Housing: This housing option is comprised of six multi-family properties owned by Status: Home. Consisting of approximately 100 permanently affordable apartment and townhome units for our priority populations, our multi-family housing includes one, two, and three-bedroom housing units. Residents receive personalized case management.
Scattered Site Housing
Allows residents to live independently in apartments, with Status: Home covering the expenses. Residents contribute 30% of their income towards rent, fostering a sense of responsibility and engagement in their journey towards stability. Personalized case management provides residents with access to the support systems and necessary resources that assist them in transitioning into self-sufficient living.
Tenant-Based Rental Assistance (TBRA)
With New Horizons, our tenant-based rental assistance program, we help families and individuals who are able to hold a lease in their name maintain their housing by providing monthly rental subsidies for 12 – 24 months.
