Housing is Healthcare
Home is a bright light when all is dark
Facilities-based Housing
Our Facilities-Based Housing serves single adults in efficiency apartments. Residents have on-site access to support staff, and services including case management and medical care coordination. Our current facility is dedicated to single adults living with AIDS who require more concentrated care.
Master-lease Housing
Our master-lease housing provides autonomous, independent living solutions in subsidized rental units throughout Atlanta to individuals and families.
Tenant-Based Rental Assistance (TBRA)
We help families and individuals who are able to hold a lease in their name maintain their housing by providing monthly rental subsidies for 12 – 24 months.
Via staff and community partners, Status: Home provides wrap-around services to individuals in all of our housing programs, including case management, linkage to HIV care, employment services, mental health services, and legal services.
Our clients are referred to us via Atlanta’s Coordinated Entry System.
From One Into Hundreds of Homes in Atlanta
Discover our history and evolution over 35 years
What is today Status: Home originated as Jerusalem House, and began in 1988 as a coalition of Atlanta’s business, religious, civic, and medical community leaders who conceptualized a residential facility for the growing number of people who’d lost their homes due to AIDS. In 1989, Status: Home was one house that could serve five individuals with HIV/AIDS.
Today, with over 300 housing units and counting, we provide homes for over 400 residents, including nearly 100 children, and we’re responsible for more than 70% of Atlanta’s permanent supportive housing for individuals and families impacted by HIV/AIDS.
