ATLANTA – An Atlanta-based nonprofit organization received a helping hand and grant from Lowe’s earlier this month that helped pay for renovations inside a historic housing facility.
Status: Home’s mission is to provide housing to low income families affected by HIV and AIDS. On Oct. 14, dozens of Lowe’s employees teamed up with community members to paint and refresh common spaces at the three-story, 23-unit residential facility on Briarcliff Road.
In addition to helping give families in-need find more housing options, Status: Home also helps connect residents with supportive services and educational opportunities.
Officials with Lowe’s said the initiative was one of 100 community projects the home improvement retailer pledged to carry out this year as part of a larger $100 million investment in revitalizing community spaces across the country.
