Status: Home to receive $477,000 in federal funding to help purchase fixtures, appliances and furnishings for its newly acquired apartments for people with HIV/AIDS. The funding, championed by Senator Reverend Raphael Warnock and secured alongside Senator Jon Ossoff, is part of the recently passed Fiscal Year 2024 minibus government funding bill.
“We’ve made significant progress in acquiring apartments in the metro area so that we are less reliant on market-based apartment leases,” said Maryum Phillips, President and CEO of Status: Home. “We thank Senators Warnock and Ossoff for their support in securing these much-needed funds which will help us update and furnish these apartments so that our residents have safe, affordable housing that is also modern and beautiful.”
